Lounge Chair Model 670 in Rosewood by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, Fehlbaum-Production, 1960s
A vintage Lounge Chair from the 1960s, one of the first produced in Europe.
After several years of development by Ray & Charles Eames, the Herman Miller lounge chair entered production in the USA in 1956. In the 1960s the Lounge Chair was also produced by Rolf Fehlbaum (founder of Vitra) in Europe under the name "Fehlbaum-Production".
The plywood panels in rosewood are in a very nice state. The original cushions in thick black leather have a superb patina. They have been professionally restored, reupholstered and reinforced from behind (label of the German restoration company present under the cushions).
This particular chair has lost its label, but the remains is still be visible; the circle of the Fehlbaum-logo and the outline of the square label.
