Danish Modernist Ceramic Table Lamp, Stoneware, Nils Kähler for HAK Denmark 1960

Stoneware table lamp finished in a combination of a dark uranium yellow / ocre glaze and natural dark brown stoneware finish. The lower glazed part is decorated with an impressed pattern.

Designed by Nils Kähler in the 1960s or 1970s. Manufactured in the workshop of Herman A. Kähler Ceramic (HAK) in the town of Naestved in southern Denmark. Nils Kähler was the fourth generation of the Kähler family actif in ceramics, he introduced the Scandinavian Modern look to the products in the 1960-70s. The Kähler brand is still appreciated as one of Denmark's greatest 20th century ceramic successes.

The lamp is signed with the company brand abbreviation "HAK", "nils" (first name of Nils Kähler, the "s" is hidden by the original sticker) and "Made in Denmark".

Works on 110v and on 220v. Rewired, EU plug can be replaced by US plug for free if desired. New socket. New lampshade.
