CAB 413 Armchair in Black Leather by Mario Bellini for Cassina, 1980s

Regular price €800

CAB armchair model 413 designed by Mario Bellini in 1976-1977.

Legendary chair design of the 1970-1980s. The Cab chair, a groundbreaking design, is the first self-supporting chair made of cowhide, inspired by the interplay between the human skeleton and skin. Both inviting and comfortable, it exemplifies Cassina's exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Its upholstery comprises 22 meticulously die-cut cowhide pieces, individually hand-processed and sewn into a seamless whole. This tailored covering is then fitted over a steel frame and secured with a zipper, resembling a finely crafted garment.

Black leather. Very confortable. Marked to underside. Some patina to the leather. The underside of the plastic seat is cracked, but this has no influence on stability or confort.

Dimensions: Height 85cm, Width 62cm, Depth 52cm. Seating Height 44cm.
