Iconic Plywood side or dining-chairs designed by Norman Cherner.
Manufactured by Plycraft, USA in the 1960s.

Seat made of plywood with teak veneer, the legs are made of solid beech wood.

When Cherner first submitted his design to Plycraft he was told that the chair would not be produced. A few years later, in 1961, Cherner discovered his design for sale in a showroom in New York and being credited to a fictitious designer named ’Bernando’. He sued Plycraft and won the case. 

These chairs are marked with a stickers that mentions the correct Designer, Norman Cherner, so they have been produced after 1961. Two of the chairs maintain their original label.
