LC8 Stool by Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier for Cassina, 1970-80

LC8 swivel stool designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1927. Produced by Cassina in the late 70s or early 80s, serial number 09892.

The LC-series furniture had been attributed to Le Corbusier in the past, but nowadays Charlotte Perriand is recognised as the designer. As this stool is about 40 years old, just the name of Le Corbusier is engraved.

Perriand designed this stool initially for her own apartment at the Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris during the 1920s. It was at presented at the Autumn Salon of 1927 to a wider audience, it was part of the project “Bar sous le Toit” (bar under the roof).

Chromed structure made of tubular steel. Swivel seat covered with original black leather. Very nice state, leather & chrome.
