LAX armchair by Charles and Ray Eames in ocher colour
On rare original low "Lounge Height" X-base (no reproduction). The last photograph shows the difference between a dining height base and a lounge height base.
This second generation armchair was manufactured by Zenith Plastic Co. between 1953 and 1957. It is recognisable by the bigger rubber shock mounts, but without the rope edge.
The chair is very fibrous, typical for these early shells.
