Outstanding Mid-Century design attributed to Hans Bunde (1919-1996).

Carl M. Cohr (1860-1925) was a Danish silversmith who took over the workshop of his father Ditlef. His factory in Fredericia made some of the best silverware in Denmark. When he died in 1925 Kaj Lützen took over as administrative director with Carl Cohr's son Einar. The silversmith Hans Bunde trained at the works 1937-1941 and returned in 1951 as designer. The factory closed in 1987.

Born in Denmark in 1919, architect and designer Hans Bunde’s passion lies primarily in goldsmithing. After completing his training, he created numerous pieces for the Carl M Cohr company, known for its particularly noble silver products, including simple and elegant kitchen and living accessories such as vases, bowls, water jugs and coffee service. He was head designer at Cohr during the 1950s and left his unique mark on the company.
